We have always felt that there is much more to be said, much more going on, in favour of this beautiful part of the world, than people know.
Brits ( +, in our experience, pretty well ALL English-speaking immigrants!) tend to concentrate on faults and bad experiences without necessarily lauding, or even being prepared to give the slightest impression of appreciation of the benefits. This `quality` clearly travels!
Our hope would be that fellow travellers here -past, present or prospective- would contribute, preferably with their more enjoyable observations, to a truer summation of whatever they consider to be Central Portugal.
Advice would also be welcome. The pace of change in Portugal, as elsewhere, in the early 21st Century means that nothing stands still. We can all benefit by being advised or reminded of the most recent rules and regulations. The nature of this fascinating country`s structures means that what WE might need to know or to do isn`t necessarily the same as for those living in the Algarve.
Let`s share pleasant reminiscences, provide useful practical guidance, help each other and try to impress our hosts that we ARE indeed a contented lot!
